Page terms

The terms on which these pages are read

The Indian Premium is an independent editorial desk. It publishes measurements of gold prices from named public sources. These terms explain what the desk does, what it cannot do, and how it is paid.

Measurements not advice

Every figure on this site is a measurement, not advice. The domestic rate is the association's own; the international price comes from two independent sources and is converted to rupees a gram. Each table names its sources with a link, so a reader can check the figure at its publisher. The desk reads these sources at set times and republishes the figures with the date and hour they were read. Nothing on this site is a recommendation or an offer. The figures describe what things cost, not what a reader should do.

The limits of these measurements are the limits of their published sources. If a source revises a figure after this desk reads it, the site shows the figure as it stood at the reading time. The desk does not estimate missing values, adjust for market conditions, or predict future prices. The reader decides alone and is responsible for their own decision. This page exists so that a reader can judge whether the figures are worth trusting before acting on them.

Editorial desk and its limits

The Indian Premium editorial desk is responsible for what appears on these pages. It reads the named sources, checks that the figures match what those sources published, and republishes them without alteration. The desk is not a broker, not an exchange, and not a licensed adviser. It holds no client money and accepts no orders. It does not offer a trading platform, execute transactions, or give investment advice.

The desk cannot answer questions about what a reader should buy, sell, or hold. It cannot explain why a particular shop charges more than the published benchmark, nor can it estimate the making charge or tax that a specific buyer will face. Those amounts depend on the seller, the piece, and the reader's own circumstances. The desk publishes one measurement and stands behind its accuracy, not its usefulness for any particular decision.

How a correction is handled

A figure that is wrong is corrected and the correction is dated. If a reader finds a number that does not match the linked source at the stated reading time, the desk wants to know. Writing to the address on the contact page reaches the desk. Corrections are the reason that address exists. The desk checks the report against the source, and if the published figure is wrong, it corrects the page and adds the date of the correction.

The desk does not correct figures that were accurate when read but later changed at the source. In that case, the page's reading time already tells the reader when the figure was captured. The desk also does not correct a figure because a reader disagrees with the source's methodology; the desk reports the source, it does not audit it. A correction is only for a mismatch between what the source published and what this page shows.

How the affiliate link funds the site

This site links to one broker, FxPro, through an affiliate link. If a reader opens an account there, the desk is paid a commission. The reader pays nothing to this site and nothing extra at the broker. This is the site's only source of revenue. The affiliate relationship does not change the figures, the sources, or the way the desk reads them.

The broker's own site is operated by someone else, under its own terms and its own privacy policy. Following the link leaves this site. The desk does not see what the reader does there and cannot answer questions about the broker's services. The link is present because the desk must be paid somehow, and this method keeps the figures free to read without asking the reader for money. The commission does not make the broker's prices or services part of this site's measurements.
